Day1. Arrival at Paro International Airport, drive toThimphu(1.5hour)

  • You will be receiving by Bhutan Dynasty Travel
  • Drive to Thimphu, stop at 15th century temple for short walk through the Iron chain bridge.
  • Check into the hotel
  • After lunch
  • Buddha point to enjoy whole Thimphu valley, as we believe biggest Buddha
  • Leisure walk around city for acclimatization
  • Evening Tea
  • Dinner at hotel

Day2. Sightseeing around capital city Thimphu

  • Visit 13 traditional art and craft school, established in 1968 by late His Majesty
  • Folk Heritage Museum, it is more than 400years old.
  • Post office and Bank for exchange
  •  After lunch:
  • Takin, national animal of Bhutan
  • Tashi chhoDzong/Fortress, the administrative building of the capital of Bhutan
  • Visit vegetable market to see local people gathering
  • Finally shopping hours in town
  • Evening Tea
  • Dinner at the hotel

Day3. Morning Sightseeing, after lunch hike to Tango monastery 30km away.

  • National Textile Museum inaugurated by His majesty the Queen Mother
  •  Memorial chorten built in 1974 by Late Her Majesty Ashi kezang choden wangchuk
  • Traditional Hospital
  • National Library
  • Lunch
  • Drive towards north of Thimphu through the beautiful countryside
  • Hike to Tango Monastery(take1 hour)
  • Enjoy monks debating/Prayer inside the main temple
  • Enjoy view around
  • Evening Tea
  • Overnight at same Hotel

 

Day4. Drive to Punakha Via Do hula pass ,3050 meter from sea level(take 3hour)

  • Visit oldest Dzong/fortress, Semtokha Dzong  built in 1629 by Zhabdrung a father of unifier in 17th century.
  • Drive to Punakha with beautiful forest and mountains
  • Soon reach to Dochula pass, 3050meter from sea-level, one of the most beautiful pass in the country. 
  • In a clear day you will see all the Himalaya from the pass
  •  Druk wangyel temple and walk around the 108 stupa
  • Tea /coffee /lunch at the cafeteria on the pass
  • Continue your journey to Punakha, the subtropical vegetation.
  • Enjoy beautiful village view and enjoy the farm land of the local people
  • Photo Stop for the beautiful rice field
  • Evening Tea
  • Check in the hotel
  • Dinner at the hotel

Day5. Most beautiful Dzong of Punakha , Chimi lhakhang  and Wangdue Phodrang dzong.

  • After breakfast , drive to Punakha dzong
  •  stop for the beautiful view of the Punakha Dzong at the male and female river meeting
  • Visit Punakha Dzong built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel, the second oldest in Bhutan.
  • Punakha is still used as the winter capital of Monastic body, during winter 1000 monk’s shift to Punakha from Thimphu because Thimphu is very cold.
  • Hike/walk to Chimi lhakhang, temple of the fertility, a many young couple who don’t conceive/get baby after long marriage, they visit for blessing.
  • Walk take 1hour through the beautiful rice field and farm houses.(easy walk)
  • Lunch at the restaurant
  • Wangdiphodrang/fortress, built in 1638 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel.
  • Talk around wangdi town
  • Evening Tea
  • Dinner at the hotel

Day6. Punakha -  Thimphu (take 3hours)

  • After breakfast re-tour to Thimphu via beautiful dochula pass(3050m)
  • stop for tea/coffee at Dochula pass, enjoy good view of Himalaya once more
  •  Dochula cafeteria and gift shop
  • Lunch at Thimphu
  •  Archery ground to see our national sport of Bhutan
  • Option: Hike to wangduetshe Dzong (30mint.)
  • Leisure walk around the town for the last shopping
  • Evening Tea
  • Dinner at the hotel

Day7. Thimphu -  Paro: Rimpung Dzong, Kychu lhakhang , Drukgyel Dzong  and Paro town.

  • After breakfast: drive to Paro
  • Rimpung Dzong built in 17th century, it is a house of administration and monastic body
  • Walk  down to oldest traditional bridge against the beautiful view of the Dzong and Paro valley
  • Lunch in Paro Town
  • Check in to our hotel
  • Visit  oldest Temple in Bhutan built in 7th century in the middle of beautiful rice field
  • Drugyel Dzong/ruin Fortress(Burn by fire in 1950) built in 17th century to protect against Tibetan invaders.
  • Drive back to hotel
  • Evening Tea
  • Dinner at hote

Day8. Paro: beautiful day Excursion to Haa valley via Chelela pass, 4000m(2.5 hours)

  • Chelela pass 4000m from sea level
  • Enjoy Jumolhari Mountain the second highest peak in Bhutan with snow capped
  • Walk around the prayer flags for the photos
  • Your guide and driver will serve hot tea and snacks on the highest point
  • Visit White temple built in 7thcentury , enjoy some times with monks
  • Picnic Lunch at the best spot near the river
  • Walk around Haa town
  • Return to Paro
  • Evening Tea
  • Overnight at the same hotel

Day9. Paro valley spiritual day excursion to Tiger Nest.

  • Hike to taktsang monastery takes 7-8 hours or whole day including photo stop and lunch at the cafeteria
  • 800 meter climb from valley floor
  • moderate - hard, drink lot of water
  • carry enough water
  • Riding ponies are available at their own cost
  • 1hour to first view point, where there is cafeteria
  •  
  • People who cannot walk, stay at the cafeteria enjoy the beautiful view of monastery with tea/coffee
  • Continue to monastery another 2 hours walk
  • Reach to second view point, be careful with steep steps
  • Beautiful photo points from second point
  • Visit monastery, no camera and mobile phone inside the temple
  •  After visit monastery walk back for lunch to cafeteria
  • After lunch walk down to car park
  • Drive to hotel
  • Evening Tea
  • Dinner at the hotel

Day10. Druk air departs early, after breakfast, your guide and driver will see you off at the airport. You need to check in two hours before departure.
