Day1. Arrival at Paro International Airport, drive to Thimphu (1.5 hours’ drive)

  • You will be receiving by Resa Tours and Travel Travel
  • Welcome tea/lunch at Paro town
  • Paro Rimpung Dzong built in 17th century, it is a house of administration and monastic body
  • Drive to Thimphu, stop at 15th century temple for short walk through the Iron chain bridge.
  • walk around town
  • Evening Tea
  • Dinner at hotel
  • Hotel Jumulhari/Pedling Hotel

Day2. Sightseeing including biggest Buddha, after lunch 1.5-hour easy hike to Historical governor’s place.

  • Visit memorial chorten built in 1974 by Late Her Majesty Ashi kezang choden wangchuk
  • Visit Buddha point to enjoy whole Thimphu valley, as we believe biggest Buddha
  • Visit 13 traditional art and craft school, established in 1968 by late His Majesty
  • Post office for personalize stamps
  •  After lunch:
  • Meet an old lady at temple, get serve tea, experience Bhutanese home
  • Start your gentle and easy hike to governor’s place through beautiful pine forest against rice valley view below
  • Could meet with many old people, silence moment/pray/ offerings of butter lamp
  • Tashi chhoDzong/Fortress, the administrative building of the capital of Bhutan after  an office hours
  • Dinner at the hotel
  • Jumulhari Hotel/Pedling Hotel

Day3 Punakha Via Dochula pass, 3050 meter from sea level, view Himalaya (3 hour including photo stop)

  • Visit oldest Dzong/fortress, Semtokha Dzong built in 1629 by Zhabdrung a father of unifier in 17th century.
  • Drive to Punakha with beautiful forest and mountains
  • Soon reach to Dochula pass, 3050meter from sea-level, one of the most beautiful pass in the country. 
  • View all the Himalaya from the pass
  •  Druk wangyel temple and walk around the 108 stupa
  • Tea /coffee /lunch at the cafeteria on the pass
  • Continue your journey to Punakha, the subtropical vegetation.
  • Enjoy beautiful village view and enjoy the farm land of the farmers
  • Photo Stop for the beautiful rice field
  • Evening Tea
  • Check in the hotel
  • Dinner at the hotel
  • Dragon’s nest resort/Meri Phumsum resort

Day 4 Magnificent fort of Punakha Valley,  hike to fertility temple, walk through village to see farmers activities

  • After breakfast , drive to Punakha dzong
  •  Beautiful view of the Punakha Dzong at the male and female river meeting
  • Punakha Dzong  built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel, the second oldest in Bhutan.
  • Punakha is still used as the winter capital of Monastic body, during winter 1000 monk’s shift to Punakha from Thimphu because Thimphu is very cold.
  • Lunch at the local restaurant
  • Hike/walk to Chimi lhakhang, temple of the fertility, a many young couple who don’t conceive/get baby after long marriage, they visit for blessing.
  • Walk take 1hour through the beautiful rice field and farm houses, enjoy with their daily activities(easy walk)
  • Evening Tea
  • Dinner at the hotel

Day 5 Drive to Paro, visit Kychu lhakhang and Paro town.(5 hours drive)

  • Drive to Paro via beautiful Dochula pass, another chance to see the snow capped Himalaya
  • Stop at the cafeteria for hot tea/coffee
  • Lunch at local restaurant
  • Paro Rimpung Dzong, fine example of Bhutanese architecture
  • Visit  oldest Temple in Bhutan built in 7th century in the middle of beautiful rice field
  • Leisure walk around for the last shopping
  • Evening Tea
  • Dinner at hotel
  • Tenzinling Hotel/Mandala Resort

Day 6 Paro valley spiritual day excursion to Tiger Nest/Taktsang goemba

  • Hike to taktsang monastery takes 7-8 hours or whole day including photo stop and lunch at the cafeteria
  • 800 meter climb from valley floor
  • moderate - hard, drink lot of water
  • carry enough water
  • Riding ponies are available at their own cost
  • 1hour to first view point, where there is cafeteria
  • People who cannot walk, stay at the cafeteria enjoy the beautiful view of monastery with tea/coffee
  • Continue to monastery another 2 hours walk
  • Reach to second view point, be careful with steep steps
  • Beautiful photo points from second point
  • Visit monastery, no camera and mobile phone inside the temple
  •  After visit monastery walk back for lunch to cafeteria
  • After lunch walk down to car park
  • Drive to hotel
  • Evening Tea
  • Dinner at the hotel
  • Tenzinling Hotel/Mandala Resort

Day 7 Departs to Bangkok DrukAir departs early, after breakfast, your guide and driver will see you off at the airport. You need to check in two hours before departure.
